Sycamore

Sycamore is one of the protagonists of Wyrd and part of Sweven. He's Orval’s professional partner and best friend. Sycamore is also a nonfiction writer who researches the undead. He died in an accident but came back through unknown means.

Personality

Though Orval believes he’s just being caring in his own way, Sycamore seems strangely possessive of him. Other hunters started complaining about him getting increasingly aggressive. In the past, he was known for being a friendly big brother type and nice to work with; he still maintains a responsible attitude. He acts almost as if he’s trying to hold onto “something”. He’s overly concerned with doing what he thinks is “correct” even if it doesn’t align with morals.

Story

After being brutally attacked by a monster, Sycamore was reported missing. He became an undead, but was never assumed to be anything other than a living human by anyone except Orval. Even examiners could only tell that something was off with him and nothing else. His condition starts to deteriorate as he and Orval do a series of connected jobs.

Past

Sycamore and Orval met in their 20s when the brunette was saved from a zombie attack. Neither of the men had any remaining family and they hit it off right away. Orval was seen as a liability to his friend by others, but Sycamore is quick to defend him. He was just as quick to lecture him for errors during work, though.

Abilities

Weapon - Mr. Delicious (living weapon) Scythe that can (seemingly) be summoned out of thin air. Its other abilities are unknown.
